Waterbuck
The Waterbuck has white markings around the eyebrows, insides of ears, and muzzle areas, including the throat bib, and buttocks. It has short legs and shaggy reddish brown to grizzled gray fur. The Waterbuck can get up to 260 pounds (120 kg). Their horns are long, strong, and have heavy ridges. The points curve forward and can attain lengths of 22”-40” (5 5-99 cm). The
Waterbucks habitat will be in the grasslands, within a few miles of water, and
near woodlands. Male Waterbucks will be in their prime around seven to nine years old, by that time they will be defending the largest and best territories. Females tend to associate casually in small herds of five to ten animals, with bachelor herds often staying near the female herds.
